Ursula Gmelch studied linguistics and interdisciplinary Eastern European studies at the Universities of Augsburg and Regensburg. She has lived in Canada, the Czech Republic and Armenia. She has been working at the Open Search Foundation since September 2024, helping to build the Open Web Search Community. Within the PriDI project, she contributes her expertise in event management and in the field of policy and ecosystem building.
