‘Digital infrastructures such as Internet search engines only deliver social benefits if they are actually used and accepted in people’s everyday lives. That is why it is essential to incorporate their perspectives into the development process at an early stage.’
Sophia Meywirth is a business informatics specialist and research assistant in the Department of Information Systems and Systems Engineering (WISE). In her doctoral thesis, she is investigating how trust in digital technologies arises and can be specifically shaped. She works with empirical and design-oriented research approaches and brings this perspective to the PriDI project. She is particularly interested in the question of how digital infrastructures can be designed to promote acceptance, trust and sustainable use.
