“The internet contains billions of websites and therefore huge amounts of information. On the other hand, the legal requirements must be determined and complied with – we want to make a contribution to this with the comprehensive legal analysis in the PriDI project.”

Paul C. Johannes is a lawyer specializing in IT law and a data protection expert. As a freelance author, he has contributed to several legal commentaries on data protection law at EU, federal and state level. He is co-head of the project group for constitutionally compatible technology design (provet) at the Scientific Center for Information Technology Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel. He has been on board the PriDI project since March 2024 and deals with the legal foundations of an open search infrastructure on the internet.
